Alyssa needed some acting bay area actor headshots that are specific. She already had some nice outdoor ones in a plain t-shirt, but the make-up wasn’t representative of how she actually presents herself/shows up at auditions, and the photos were not telling a story. They were generic, and usable to get some auditions, but now that she’s gotten more credits to her resume, she needed headshots that would be tailored to the specific roles she wanted to play. So, she came to me :)
Alyssa stars in many vertical dramas, but hasn’t had the chance to play the confident sexy villian. So we did a silky black halterneck and she put her hair up in a bun, and added some extra make up for the photo on the left! Bringing extra make up and some hair accessories can make a HUGE difference and allow you to get the most of your headshot session, especially if you opt to skip the hair and make-up artist.

“I don’t even know where to start! I took headshots with Carla, and she’s not only an incredibly talented photographer but also so good at putting together different outfits and looks for actor headshots. She was efficient but also took her time with each look and made sure we got what we wanted before moving onto the next one. Her suggestions for hair and makeup were perfect, we added some more makeup part way thru the session for a bolder look towards the end. I’m incredibly happy with how my headshots turned out and really looking forward to updating my casting profiles.
